Amtrak 455 is in push mode as it rounds the curve on the BNSF/Union Pacific interchange in Stockton on May 16, 2003. This is Sacramento-Bakersfield Train 704 which uses the ACE depot for its station stop, rather the Santa Fe depot used by the Oakland-Bakersfield trains. The interchange track was funded partially by California bond money and was installed after the BNSF merger took place.
